Saturday and Sunday, November 12-13
1 – 3:30pm, and 4 – 6:30pm both days
Join Richard for a weekend of dynamic and challenging practices in the service of stability. We review muscular anatomy and movement mechanics, and reimagine what our practice could be when we focus on strength.
The yoga sequences highlight three key aspects of an active yoga practice:
- Structure (the ability to support your joints in poses)
- Endurance (the ability to maintain self-support)
- ROMA (Range of Motion Activation)
Self-support is especially important for hyperflexible people, who are more likely to expose their joints to short-term injuries and longer-term damage. This workshop is geared toward joint preservation and intrinsic muscle engagement.
You’ll receive handouts so you can return to these practices at any time. Yoga Alliance members receive 10 hours CEC.
